NSS volunteers have performed Nukkad Nataks to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and other social issues. The goal of AIDS awareness programs is to educate people about HIV/AIDS, promote testing, and reduce stigma. These programs also aim to honor the lives of people affected by the epidemic.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) aims to develop a sense of social responsibility and discipline among students. Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur had organized a 7-day NSS camp from 21-03-25 to 27-03-25 at Primary School Kendri, Raipur. The camp was held to help us serve society while also promoting awareness of social issues.

Before the camp, a series of meetings were held to discuss the camp's objectives, tasks, and schedule. We were also given a list of items to carry, including clothes for outdoor work, toiletries, bedding, and a first-aid kit.
Each day, we were involved in various activities.
National Unity Day is celebrated on October 31, to commemorate the birth anniversary of “Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel”. In 2024, the day was celebrated early on October 28 due to the festival of Deepawali falling on October 31. Activities on National Unity Day include the Indoor Games, seminars & pledge-taking ceremonies, were organized to mark this event.
"Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha" is a campaign to improve road safety in India. Students of BIT Raipur had visited Santoshi Nagar chowk , Traffic police officer had created awareness among the students about the traffic rules and the new guidelines introduced by the Government. Awareness goal is to reduce road accidents and fatalities by increasing citizen involvement in road safety measures.
The Cyber Safety Awareness Program held on the 5th of october 2024 at Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur was more than a conventional awareness initiative. It was a proactive response to the escalating challenges in the digital landscape. This report delves into the meticulous planning, comprehensive training, and impactful execution that marked this event as a beacon of cyber literacy. The Cyber Safety Awareness Program wasn't merely a collection of guidelines; it was a deliberate effort to empower participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the online world securely. In a digital age fraught with evolving threats, the program aimed to be a catalyst for informed, responsible, and secure digital citizenship.
The theme for the 2024 Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign was "Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata". The campaign ran from September 17, 2024 to October 2, 2024, and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The theme's goal was to make cleanliness a natural habit and a core value for all citizens of India.
Bhilai Institute of Technology had conducted "Swachhata He Sewa Abhiyan". In this campaign, students participated in different events such as school visits, skits, posters, and rallies and also cleaned nearby areas of Kendri village as well as the college campus. They educated the school children and village people regarding waste disposal and waste management.
“Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskar Swachhata”, aims to instill cleanliness as a natural habit and a core societal value among all citizens Students motivated people through rallies to make cleanliness their values and follow it daily.
The Swachhata Shapath Day was held on September 1, 2024, as part of the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign. Keeping in mind the Mahatma Gandhi Swachhta Mission, a “Swachhata Pledge” program was organized at Bhilai Institute of Technology in which 90 students of NSS including all the teaching staff, non teaching staff of the institute was participated in this event.
A Blood donation camp was organized by our NSS unit, in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, our NSS volunteers brought awareness about shortage of blood and why we must donate blood every year, to help the persons requiring blood. Blood donation can save lives of innumerable persons. Donation of blood is very critical and crucial for saving lives many patients and those who have met with accidents.
