About Department

The Department of Mathematics came into existence since the inception of BIT Raipur in the year 2009.
This becomes a foundation that aims at creating analytic and innovative engineers who prove to be authentic pillars that serves as a strong edifice of the nation. Mathematics provides basic tools of analysis as well as the knowledge of the principles on which engineering is based. Department has been actively involved in research in emerging thrust areas that need attention in today scenario.

Vision

Impart students with quality education in mathematics which is used as a basic tool by every branch of engineering and technology and help students for their academic excellence to reach global standards. The Department also aims to be centre of excellence in both Research and Teaching.
