About The Department

English as a global language forms the core of all academic curriculums, immaterial of the discipline. As an engineering student has to have a good knowledge of English language which they can implement in their career. With a good knowledge of English, a student prepares itself as a global citizen and that is the primary aim of the department. We provide an in-depth understanding of all the basic skills-Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The department contributes to training and preparing the students for interviews, group discussions, and verbal aptitude. It also contributes to all kinds of creative writing and presentation work in the institution.

To prepare world-class engineers and global citizens who can apply the knowledge of English language in career and in their daily life across the world.

Prof. Shubhra Tiwari was awarded with Ph.D. in English Literature.

• Prof. R.S.Panicker delivered Keynote address at BIT Durg conference.
• He was invited to conduct a two day workshop at Awdesh Pratap University Rewa (M.P. in the Department of English in April.
• Was invited as a guest lecture at Govt. Polytechnic College, Raipur in November.
