Seth Balkrishan was a great philanthropist and a paragon of human virtues. His enlightened humanity is beacon of hope in these difficult years when we as people are experiencing the pains of moving towards a real national identity, a cultural and an emotional integration, his example may inspire the faculty and the future graduates of the BHILAI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY to serve the industries and people of India to best of their abilities. Bhilai Institute of Technology(BIT) was established in the year 1986 as the first Engineering College in Private Sector in the undivided State of Madhya Pradesh. Started in a very modest scale with four undergraduate courses in Engineering (B.E.) is now risen to catering MBA & MCA courses. Aspiration to excel leads the trust to extend its branch towards capital city Raipur. The search results fixed to a site in New Raipur where the present Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur is nearing its seventh anniversary. The Institutes are managed by a Board of Trustees headed by the Managing Trustee. The Trust comprises of leading duly constituted Governing Body consisting of the representatives of the Trust, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), State Government and Affiliating University. industrialists, senior bureaucrats, management experts, peoples' representatives, and notable social workers. Day-to-day activities of the Institute are controlled and monitored by a board of trustees.
