On August 10th an Induction Program was held in BIT, Raipur. The program was started with sarswati vandana & further addressed by respected Dr. Piyushkant Pandey the Principal of the Institute, Dr. S.S.Joshi Dean academics & Prof. T. Ramarao. Dean student's welfare. All these dignitaries have showered their blessings over the students and drew their attention towards the Do's and Don'ts of the students' life.
On 12th of August the same program was arranged to gather the students for the blessings of Shri Vijay Kumar Gupta Chairperson, BIT, Trust and Respected Shri I.P.Mishra, member secretary, BIT, Trust.
With the blessings and showers of best wishes, BIT, Raipur has started its voyage with a great cause and motto of Aspire and Excel.

On 5th of September memory of a great teacher Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was cherished by the Institution to summon up the tempo and enthusiasm of teaching- learning faculties. The program started with Sarawati Vandana and students of the Institute have conducted the occasion very gracefully. Students felicitated the teachers and entertained the gathering with some cultural activities.
Dr. Piyushkant Pandey, Principal BITR congratulated and appreciated them for the gesture they have shown towards their teachers.

On 19th September, a psychometric test was organized by BITR. Mr. Nagesh Banchor from Pro,C was the speaker of the workshop. He delievered an impressive lecture with the help of visual aids and involved the students for an open discussion on their carrier prospects.

| Space Research Awareness Program |

On 25th Sep, a space research awareness program was held in BITR. The purpose of this event was to aware students with different updated information regarding latest space programmes. Speaker of the program was Mr. Alok Shrivastava, scientist ‘G’ from ISRO. Dr. D.S. Bal was the chief guest of the event..
Mr. Shrivastava acquainted the students with the history of Indian space program and the development of Chandrayaan I to the Chandrayaan II. He made the program very interesting by showing the original clippings of space programs which is a rare event to witness. |

| Annual Day/ Republic Day |

Institute has celebrated Republic Day with full gaiety and sincerity. Students with a theme and spirit of Patriotism systematized a cultural meet with cheerful mood and strength.
Band group of the Institute and girls of different branches have performed within a short preparation of two days as the examinations were over just two days back. Institute is really proud of those students who are taking extra -curricular as a part of their regular program. |

| A Report |

Students from bit raipur have participated in confluence 2kx, Tech Fest held in nit rourkela, five members from BIT, Raipur have participated in Confluence 2kx. Robotics team (sumit, yogendra, ashish, prashant, rishabh) have secured 4th position in noosevalley (The robot has to climb a rugged terrain and meet the peaks of the two ranges. It has to cross the deep valley in between using only the rods of the old broken bridge still clinging at place...), they have completed their 1st round with record time of 3.13 sec to qualify for the next round. Our students have brought a great honour and pride as they are the 1st batch from the college to secure fourth in any national event with a record in first round.
OVERNITE (an event conducted in late night based on C programming), where 72 students from different colleges have participated, RISHABH SHUKLA stood 5th in this event, while in FACE OFF (a kite to be build with in limited time and limited money), BIT,R'S team has stood 3rd .

Students from BIT, Raipur participated in the events of URJA UTSAV in BIT, Durg. Chandraprakash Sahu, Md. Arif Khan and Saurabh Pandey secured first position in the event named “PRAYAS”, a competition of model making.
- Neeraj Agrawal, Gopal jee, Satyam Kharra and Anurag Chandrakar, students of BIT, Raipur have participated in the Spark'10 of NIT, Raipur and secured first position in the event ROBO WAR and second in ROBO SOCCER.
- Shwetang Sharma, a student of Mechanical branch semester III, BITR, have qualified for the second round of " Dance India Dance Season 3" - A Reality Dance Show in ZEE TV.
