Future Plans / Scope:
  • To advance, evolve and enhance computer science & engineering fundamentals to build the intellectual capital of research in students.

  • To make the students focused with the use of conceptual understanding of core domain areas in Computing as well as enhanced programming skills increasing their analytical abilities.

  • To provide hands on experience to the students about the fast changing environment of Software Engineering and Computer Science through arranging various Workshops and seminars and guest Lectures so that they must understand how to learn very fast and become part of changing world.
  • To establish  new ground for  fundamental research particularly with regard to interdisciplinary explorations such as Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Structures , Social Networking and others.

  • To make them proficient not only with the software technologies but with the hardware technologies as well by providing them the exposure to industries via Practical Training and Learning.

  • To Increase the participation of students in Extra Curricular activities by providing them Proper Guidance through the ACE (ASSOCIATION OF COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERS) formed by the students for themselves

Computer science and engineering students learn about basic engineering techniques, as other engineering students, during first year course. These techniques include Engineering Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Engineering drawing, Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electrical Engineering, Communication skills etc. From second year onwards they are exposed to core computer science subjects: Programming(C and C++), data structures, Digital logic, Theoretical computer science, Algorithms, Web technologies, Networks, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Architecture are few to mention.

This is really an excellent field to have opportunities both in software companies and higher studies. As computing is extensively applied to almost every walk of life it created massive jobs for Computer Engineering students. On the same time more demand and application kept it research funding alive attracting many students to opt for higher studies.

There are thousands of multinational and national software companies offer jobs to computer engineers. To name few famous ,Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Amazon, IBM, Facebook, Oracle, Cisco, Infosys, TCS, CTS and Wipro.

The generalized use of computers has increased the demand of computer Engineers in areas such as finance, energy, medicine, business-management, online libraries, cable television, electronic mail, the new banking systems, and Most importantly for Research purpose.

The most frequent job opportunities for computer Engineers are:
Higher Studies (M.Tech, M.B.A.), Training and Teaching, Research, Programmer and Analyst, Private Commercial Companies, Private Industrial Companies, Software Production Companies, Technical Consultancy, Computer Auditing, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Management and Development Department.
